“The Gullah Woman”
Artist: Gloria Aziza Lawyer
Gloria's paintings are a movement of shades, colors and brush strokes, where the array of urban “folk” come forth and withdraw in cadenced unity and human pulses. Her work has been shown with nationally and internationally known artists such as Michael Cummings, Ben Jones, Cheryl Riley, Otto Neal, Bob “Nappyhead” Daniels, Jonathan Green, and James Denmark to name a few. Ms. Lawyer’s work is currently on permanent display at the Karibu art gallery located in Harlem at 146 W. 122nd Street New York, New York 10027.
