Myrna was born and raised in Puerto Rico and is currently living in Hoboken, NJ. Moving to Jakarta, Indonesia in 1997 with her family, was an important and decisive step in the life and development of this artist. She discovered her love for painting after studying watercolors under See Mun Leong Adijanto a well known Indonesian artist and acrylic painting with Graciela Soria, an Argentinean artist living in Jakarta at the time.
In 2001 she moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina where she continued her oil painting under the tutelage of Silvia Guardia, Gloria Verdi, and Peter Malenchini. She has exhibited her work in San Isidro and San Fernando in the Buenos Aires Province, where she received the New Artist of the year award (2006) for her oil painting, “Moving Again” and honors for her landscape paintings.
